Useful Information
Administer orally: Adult dogs and cats give ½ teaspoon per 10 lbs. body weight, twice daily. Sdjust amount based on veterinary recommendations.
CAUTIONS: Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. If animal's condition worsens or does not improve, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian. Use with caution in the presence of cardiac disease, particularly in digitalized patients.
Do not administer to cats or dogs with acute, oliguric, anuric or very advanced renal failure. Do not administer in other diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as adrenal insufficiency, acute dehydration or urethral obstruction.
WARNING: For use in animals only. Keep out of reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact a health professional immediately.

This product works well and is easy to administer.

My cat was diagnosed with early stages of kidney problems. She is 15 years old and became lethargic. This product is effective and she is more active.

An Optional Form of Potassium

I am finding it difficult to consistently administer a potassium supplement to my cat. I mix a powder in his wet food, and sometimes it gets down and sometimes it doesn't. I mix this in his food with the same probability of consumption. However, I find I can load a dose in a thick syringe and get that down him ... most of the time. It is a game we play every morning. The gel is harder to measure than the powder, and messier, but I like having additional options. My cat doesn't like the taste of either formulation, so getting it down him is never going to be easy.
More options for administration.
Cat doesn't like the taste.

My FeLV had low potassium numbers from his blood test. Vet said to use this along with his Fellovite II. I do have to put the gel on a spoon and take small amounts and open his mouth to place it in. Guess it doesn\'t taste that good compared to Fellovite II which he takes right from my finger. But heath is more important. Great company to deal with. Order is always on time.
