Description

Epakitin for Dogs and Cats Your pet's kidneys are constantly cleaning their blood. As your pet ages however, the performance of the kidneys can diminish. This can lead to Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) or kidney failure, a leading cause of illness in dogs and cats. Signs of CRF can include a loss of energy in your pet, drinking excess water and urination, and ultimately a loss of appetite. It can be a sad, slow process to witness. There is help however, with Epakitin.

Epakitin for Dogs and Cats from Vétoquinol USA, Inc., is a nutritional supplement that can help slow down the progress of chronic kidney disease. Epakitin comes in a powder form that is great tasting for your dog or cat. When used with a prescription renal diet, or mixed with your pet's regular food, Epakitin supports kidney function safely, and effectively. Its effectiveness and ease of use makes it a popular choice among owners looking for CRF relief for their pets.

With Epakitin for Dogs and Cats, your pet will begin to regain energy, will feel better and live longer. There is hope for pets suffering from kidney disease with easy to use, safe and effective Epakitin for Dogs and Cats.

  • Nutritional supplement for cats and dogs to help slow down the progression of chronic kidney disease
  • Great-tasting, easy-to-administer powder, just sprinkle over dry food or mix with a small amount of canned food
  • Epakitin's active ingredient, chitosan, is a natural polysaccharide derived from shells of shrimp and crab. This ingredient naturally binds phosphorus, which limits the absorption of phosphorus from the intestines and that limitation helps pets with chronic kidney disease by slowing down damage caused by the disease

As recommended by my vets, my renal kitties (3) get this in their canned food 2x daily. Their phosphorus levels are in an acceptable range and it does not alter food taste so compliance is not a problem.
    Doesn't alter food taste Expensive!

    Love this product!!!

I believe that switching my cats food and this product are responsible for keeping his chronic kidney disease stable for the last 3 years. He doesn't seem to mind the taste you just have to find a good mix of food and this powder. I've found many vets don't know about this product which is unfortunate. Great product, highly recommended.
Cat likes taste. Product works really well. Little expensive but worth it.

This is a great supplement for CRF. I currently use it myself for my dog. When you get it through a veterinary office, you pay generally a 150% to 200% mark up. On the other hand when you purchase online be careful to look closely at labels and distributors!! A lot of these meds that come cheap online are not made in the same countries and thereforeyou might not he getting the full ingredients at all times unfortunately.

Fluffly, my 14 year old Siamese-Tabby cross, was recently diagnosed with midterm renal disease. He was placed on the Purina Renal Health Wet Food. At the same time, he was prescribed Vetoquinol Epakitin nutritional supplement 10 days ago. His appetite and thirst has returned and overall condition has improved wonderfully. Epakitin is a highly palatable product in powdered form which can be mixed directly into his renal care wet food or he will eat it as a stand alone.

    For My Dog Jennifer
    July 5, 2011
This product is great, my dog Jennifer just got diagnosed for renal kidney failure, so my Vet gave me Epakitin to give her with her food, and I have seen a great difference in her. She is more alert and happy, she can go for walks again, just overall in better health. I also massage her body two times a day, she is 15 1/2 year old Beagle. I love her dearly,

I purchased Epakitin for my cat from the vet at their suggestion. The cost was $48 for this same product with their label over the container.

I had been giving my cat Azodyl as he is in the early stages of chronic kidney failure and he has done so well but still needed his fluids every 4 days or so. Since I added this product he is unbelievably welll! Looks great and needs fluids less frequently!
