The Kat-Leash was designed to work with dogs on "off leash" training but works well for larger dogs that require more freedom then the standard leash. With a lot of room for freedom and strength in design, you can work with recalls and commands but still have "leash" control. The new Kat-Leash is perfect for big dogs that need more room to walk. No more pulling and lots of freedom to move around for further training opportunities. These leashes are made with 25' of 8 mm climbing rope for strength with an extra strength clasp. No more biting through the leash with this one! Fully tested with many dogs and not one has broken!
The recommendation for the Kat-Leash is to tie a couple of knots starting approximately 3 feet from the extra large hand loop. From there continue down every 5 feet or so towards the collar. By doing this you can feel where your pup is without looking while you are working with commands. It’s best to have the final knot signal when its time to do a recall so your dog never gets to feel the end of the leash and doesn’t get reinforced to pull. Be sure to have good high value reinforcement for good recalls!
